    Guide

    How it works

    1. Enter your website

Enter the home page of your website and choose the maximum number of pages to crawl. Alternatively, paste a list of addresses.

    2. Start the crawl

The crawler follows the links on your site, respects your robots.txt and checks every page for status code, noindex and canonical.

    3. Check the result

The table shows which pages were included and why others are missing. You can add or remove individual pages using the checkboxes.

    4. Upload the sitemap

Download the sitemap.xml, place it in the root directory of your domain and add it to your robots.txt and to Google Search Console.

    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions

Which pages end up in the sitemap?

Only pages that are reachable (status 200), have no noindex, do not point to another address via canonical and may be crawled according to robots.txt. Redirects are not included – their target is included instead.

How many pages can the crawler read?

Up to 500 pages per run. For larger websites, a sitemap generated automatically by your CMS or shop system is a better fit; with “Paste addresses” you can, however, process up to 50,000 addresses.

Do I need changefreq and priority?

Google ignores both. What matters most is lastmod – the date of the last change. The generator takes it from the server response (Last-Modified), if available.

    May I crawl any website?

Please only crawl websites you are responsible for or have permission to crawl. The crawler respects robots.txt, works slowly and limits the number of requests.

    Is my data stored?

No. The server only fetches the pages and returns the results to your browser. Only a hash of your IP address is stored briefly to prevent abuse.
