    Guide

    How it works

    1. Fill in the basics

Enter the title, description and address of the page. The bars show whether the title and description will be displayed in full on Google.

    2. Check the preview

On the right you can see live how your page looks in Google search and when shared on Facebook, LinkedIn or X.

    3. Add social media details

Add a preview image (ideally 1200 × 630 px) and, optionally, separate texts for social networks.

    4. Copy the code

Copy the finished code and paste it into the <head> section of your page.

    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions

How long should the title and description be?

Google truncates by pixel width, not by characters. As a guideline, aim for about 50–60 characters for the title (up to approx. 580 px) and about 120–158 characters for the description. The generator measures the width directly using the font Google uses.

Do I still need the keywords tag?

No. Google and Bing have ignored meta keywords for many years. You can leave it out.

What is the difference between meta tags and Open Graph?

Title and description are mainly used by search engines. Open Graph tags (og:…) determine how a link is displayed in social networks and messengers such as WhatsApp – including the preview image.

Why is my preview image not shown?

The image must be specified with an absolute address (https://…) and be publicly accessible. Networks often cache previews – you can refresh the preview using their debugging tools.

    Is my data stored?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Only when you click “Load image” does your browser fetch the image from the address you entered.
